Kasperwing Part 103 legal ultralight aircraft, by Cascade Ultralites

Kasperwing Ultralight.

Ultralight Aircraft Magazine - The Kasperwing I - 80 part 103 legal ultralight aircraft was designed byWitold Kasper and Steve Grossruck, and manufactured by Cascade ultralights. It was introduced into the ultralight market in the mid-70s as an ultralight kit. The Kasperwing kit uses bold and rivet together, aluminum tube construction covered in Dacron sailcloth. Kit building times were reported in the 75 to 100 hour range.
The Kasperwing is a flying wing design, using weight shift control for pitch control, and a yoke system connected to wing tip rudders for yaw control.

The Kasperwing Ultralight

The Kasperwing has some very unique capabilities. The single service wing and airfoil design make the aircraft stall proof. In that it can flown vertically in flight, with full control. The Kasperwing is a high wing, cable braced, king post, pusher configuration with a tricycle landing gear. It has asked durable nose wheel, but the controls are reversed in that you push left to go right and push right to the left. Power was originally supplied by the Zenoah G 25, 20 hp two stroke, single cylinder engine.

Another advantage of the Kasperwing is that the wing can be folded for transport, a lot like the original hang gliders. Meaning that the pilot could with a small trailer transport his aircraft to and from his flying field where he can assemble the wing in as little as 30 minutes.
